Dubai travel alert: Air France keeps flights suspended until October 13
Passengers can postpone or cancel eligible bookings
DUBAI – Air France has extended the suspension of flights to and from Dubai until October 13, adding further uncertainty for passengers travelling between the French capital and the UAE.
The airline said it continues to monitor the security situation in the Middle East in real time. The latest schedule also keeps Riyadh services suspended through September 28, while Beirut flights are planned to resume on September 26.
The decision comes as international airlines continue to revise their Middle East schedules amid ongoing security concerns and airspace restrictions. Several carriers have either extended Dubai suspensions or pushed planned resumptions into October and beyond, while others have gradually restored services.
Dubai flights
Air France flights to and from Dubai will remain suspended up to and including October 13, according to the airline's latest travel update. The carrier has repeatedly adjusted its Middle East operations following security assessments linked to the regional situation.
For passengers with trips planned to or from Dubai before October 31, Air France is offering the option to postpone travel free of charge in the same travel class, with the new journey taking place by November 30, inclusive.
Eligible passengers can alternatively cancel their trip and receive a voucher valid for one year on Air France, KLM or Delta Air Lines. The voucher can also be used to change the destination.
Air France said affected customers are being contacted individually through the telephone number or email address provided with their booking.
Regional routes
Flights to and from Riyadh are suspended up to and including September 28. Passengers booked to travel to or from the Saudi capital before October 5 can postpone their journey free of charge in the same travel class until October 28, inclusive.
They can also cancel and receive a one-year voucher valid on Air France, KLM or Delta Air Lines, including for a change of destination.
Air France plans to resume flights to and from Beirut on September 26. Passengers with travel scheduled before October 18 can postpone their journey free of charge in the same travel class until November 18, inclusive, or cancel in exchange for a one-year voucher.
Flights to and from Tel Aviv are currently operating as normal, according to the airline's latest update.
Refund options
Passengers whose flights have been cancelled can postpone or cancel their journey free of charge through the My Bookings section of the Air France website. Customers who booked through a travel agency are advised to contact the original point of sale.
A ticket refund is also available when a flight is cancelled or delayed by more than five hours and the passenger decides not to travel.
The latest change adds Dubai to a growing list of routes affected by prolonged schedule adjustments. British Airways has moved its Dubai return to November, while Singapore Airlines and several Lufthansa Group carriers have also pushed Dubai services into late October.
